Really Big Universe

I’ve been meaning to get this out for a week, but I’m really damn lazy lately. Fellow Gentlemen Dave and Phil have recently…well, I’ll just let Dave tell you himself:

For those of you who don’t know the whole story, this music video is the culmination of my collegiate career. While other graduating seniors are writing forty page papers or giving presentations about bacteria in meat, I was busy making this experiment of light and magic. As one of the main requirements for my individualized major in Digital Media, this video partially represents (in theory) what all I have learned in college (within my major). Yay for being able to design your own degree!

The song itself is a rap that my best pal, Phil, and I wrote about a year and half ago. During a weekend of our regular electronic music production, we decided to take a break and write a rap. Four hours later, we had “Really Big Universe.”

A couple months ago, I was having some difficulty coming up with possible songs to make a music video for. Although I had many tracks that would have made good videos, nothing was really jumping out at me. One night, as I played “Really Big Universe” for some friends that were over, I thought it would be really funny to have a music video for it. Ba-zing! The rest is MTV history.
