DG Poll Concludes: Best Picture Upset!
In an unexpected twist, Rush Hour 2 came home yesterday with the best picture of the year award. Locked into a fierce competition with cinematic contenders like Pearl Harbor and Planet of the Apes, Rush managed to pull ahead at the last minute with 43% of the popular vote. The Mummy Returns, more than three whopping votes behind, still managed to garner some honors by handily beating fan favorites Jurassic Park III and Planet of the Apes. And of course, Pearl Harbor sucked.
