Everything Old is New Again
Lots of updates and general cleanup going on around the site lately. Thought we’d let you in on what’s been going on.
First of all, DG released the first episode of Dead Gentlemen Presents…Dead Air - the first audio-only podcast from the Dead Gentlemen! We’ve got some sketch comedy, music from Evil Tedd and Phil the Producer, and an interview with Don Early about the loooooooooong awaited Revamping Doyle, which (drumroll please) is about to be released as a serial feature, starting with the next episode of Dead Gentlemen Presents! Amazing!
The-Gamers.com has been dormant and its information inaccurate for a long time. This due, in part, to the fact that we suck, and in part to the fact that the server that hosted the site was not under our control, so all updates had to go through a third party. Thankfully, we have rectified the latter situation. Now that we run the site again, expect more frequent updates. For instance, the Dorkness Rising FAQ has been completely updated and is now accurate, and several new pictures are available in the photo gallery (and many old pictures are missing, stay tuned as we get everything back up and running). Just a warning that the front page display is a little wonky in Internet Explorer. We’re working on fixing it, so bear with us. Or try Firefox, which has no display bugs, blocks popup ads, keeps you safe from viruses and exploits, and sticks it to the man! I’m just sayin’.
Speaking of site updates, the DG Forums have been given a facelift. Fed up with the constant spam posts in the forums, we finally gave up and switched over to all new forum software. All of the old posts and user accounts transferred over, so you shouldn’t have any troubles, apart from needing to log-in again. Let us know what you think!
Finally, it’s convention time again. DG will be making its presence known as Guests of Honor at RadCon, tomorrow, February 18th, in Pasco, WA. Gentlemen in attendance will be:
- Phil “Nimble/St.Peter/Sound Guy” Price
- Don “Silent Jim/Mort Agrippa” Early
- Emily “Chick in the Snak Shop/Dream Girl/Paula/The Princess/Therin” Olson
- Cindy “Angel” Messler-Early
So head to the Red Lion Inn in Pasco tomorrow to meet the Dead Gentlemen and purchase many of our fine products!
