GAMERS SCREENING A SUCCESS
Dead Gentlemen would like to thank the hundreds of people who attended our screening of “The Gamers” at the Rialto Theater on December 4th. The event was a resounding success. The audience was phenomenal, the film looked and sounded superb, and nobody was injured. (One mouse was badly frightened, though.) Thanks, Tacoma, for showing us that it is possible to have an event like this locally. Maybe now we’ll even consider doing it again!
If you just can’t get enough of the Dead Gentlemen, this Friday is your chance to see us again! DG Improv will be performing live in Tacoma at Northern Pacific Coffee Company. We’re planning an extra-long show and we expect the place to be packed. Show up early to reserve your seat! The show begins at 7:30 PM and will have a short intermission, wherein drinks (alcoholic and otherwise), food, and even ice cream will be available for your consumption if you’re willing to fork over the cash. Admission, however, is totally free! To get to NPCC, take the 512 East exit from I-5. Then exit and turn to the right on Highway 7/Pacific Avenue. A mile or two later, turn right onto Garfield Street. The coffeeshop will be to your right after you drive two blocks. We’ll see you there!
Lots of people are asking when VHS and DVD copies of “The Gamers” will be available. The answer is… soon. We’re aiming at an early February release on VHS. The DVD will take a bit longer, as we’re putting together audio commentaries, a documentary on the making of the film, easter eggs, trailers, and a special additional surprise film. Also, in order to raise money for the DVD release, we will need to sell a fair amount of the VHS tapes. Keep your eye on our website for updates.
If you’re in Australia and are attending PHATCON, welcome to our home on the web! We’re really excited about our Australian premiere and we hope that you enjoy “The Gamers” as much as everybody else has. We would love to hear about your experience with the movie, so please feel more than free to post your stories in our forums.
As always, we encourage you to direct questions, comments, praise, complaints, and general randomness toward input@deadgentlemen.com or info@deadgentlemen.com. Until next time, peace out and remember to thank your local wheat provider the next time you eat a sandwich.
