Important news regarding “The Argonautica”

We’ve got some exciting news today regarding Ben Dobyns’ pet project “The Argonautica”. Sarah Rick has returned to us from the land of fromage and surrender with news from Mister Dobyns.

For those of you not in the know, Ben has spent the last year authoring a jazz musical named “The Argonautica”. It will be by far the largest and most complicated production DGP has performed to date. Mister Dobyns, who is currently studying in Cannes, France, intends to begin intense fundraising upon his return this summer, with production to begin this fall or winter.

Now for the exciting news. DGP sent Sarah to Ben with a spec script, and a proposition. We received word from Sarah this morning that he has wholeheartedly agreed to our proposition, and is extremely excited about the prospect. Therefore, without further ado, it is my great pleasure to announce that Dead Gentlemen’s next production will be:

Demon Hunters 3: The Argonautica
That’s right, our two most anticipated productions have merged. DH3: The Argonautica will combine the time-tested Demon Hunter characters with Ben’s revolutionary visual and musical styles and artistic vision. Following the events of DH2: Dead Camper Lake, The Argonautica details our heroes’ dramatic escape from Hell. Set in a jazz club in Hell’s capital city of Lake of Fire, Gabriel and Chris team up with a band of rebels to plot the overthrow of Larry, the current Prince of Darkness. While Gabriel befriends Naught, the owner of the jazz club, and convinces him to join the battle, Chris finds himself entranced by a sultry golden-haired jazz singer and starts his own battle to make her his own.

The Argonautica page has been updated with a new teaser graphic. I’m still working on the page layout, so new info will be up by tomorrow at the latest. Feel free to join us in the forums and let us know what you think about our newest production. We here at DGP are all extremely excited to hear your opinions.
