News Update: Episode 2- Attack of the Bad Titles
Well, I hope you’ve all said your goodbyes to Mister Dobyns, since it’s probably the last time you’ll ever see him. I predict that he’ll burst into flames the instant he steps into the searing California sunshine tomorrow. Yes, starting tomorrow, Ben and Jimmy take Hollywood by storm! If they’re wearing a tie, they’re getting a DGP business card. There’s going to be a bunch of confused waiters and valets in that city by the time we’re done.
In case you’ve been living in a cave, LucasFilm has announced the official title of Star Wars Episode 2. Attack of the Clones. I, unfortunately, kid you not. Apparently there were trademark issues with the title Lucas originally wanted, “Episode 2: Electric Boogaloo“. I admit, I’m no fan of the Star Wars films in the first place. I’ve only seen the first (fourth?) movie, and I have no desire to watch the others. But seriously Lucas! Attack of the freaking Clones!?! That’s a Roger Corman title! Not a George Lucas title! I refuse to believe that this is the same person who brought the world Indiana Jones. It must be his evil twin, or perhaps, Clone!
And, to top it all off, a new Ask Duamerthrax. Read it and weep. Unless you enjoy it, in which case you should replace “weep” with “laugh”. Actually, I suppose you can replace it with “stare indifferently” too. Aw hell, just read it.
